Liam Gallagher unveils new single For What It's Worth

Liam Gallagher has unveiled For What It’s Worth, the latest song to be taken from his debut solo album, As You Were.

Produced by Dan Grech-Marguerat, For What It’s Worth was written by Gallagher with Simon Jons. Of the single, the former Oasis singer said: “I wanted to write an apology. Not to one person, but to everyone, because I’m no good at saying sorry. That song is a tune.”

Of the album, due for release via Warner Bros on October 6, he added: “I didn’t want to be reinventing anything or going off on a space jazz odyssey. It’s the Lennon Cold Turkey vibe, The Stones, the classics. But done my way, now.”

For What It’s Worth follows debut single Wall Of Glass, which has amassed over 13 million streams and 109,723 sales according to the Official Charts Company, and Chinatown, which has sold 18,640 copies.
