'One of the most exciting artists on the planet': Sony Masterworks signs Chloe Flower

Following her performance with Cardi B at the Grammy Awards 2019, Chloe Flower has signed to Sony Music Masterworks.

The major describes the multi-faceted artist as a pianist, composer, producer, fashion influencer and activist.

As well as collaborating with Cardi B, Flower has previously worked with Babyface, Celine Dion and Nas. Classically trained by Herbert Stessin (Juilliard School) and Aaron Shorr (Royal Academy of Music), she has performed at a sold-out Walt Disney Hall, Los Angeles and composed original scores to films and documentaries.

Flower said: “It’s not only an honour to be part of the Sony family, but I couldn’t be more excited about the incredible team I’ll be working with. I waited many years to find the right home for my music & my sound, and it was certainly worth the wait!“

Mark Cavell, label head USA & COO, international, Sony Music Masterworks, said: “Chloe Flower is a gifted musician with a unique appeal that cuts across all musical boundaries. She is very much an artist of the 21st century, creating music with a wide appeal for the streaming age.  We are thrilled that she is joining us on the label”.

Sarah Thwaites, label head UK, Sony Music Masterworks, added: “Chloe Flower is one of the most exciting artists on the planet and I’m unbelievably stoked to share her talent with the world. Whether it’s original compositions, classical masterpieces, unexpected collaborations or virtuosic covers of today’s hottest hits, Chloe’s incredible talent, passion and style shine through.”

Flower has been honoured for her work in the fight against human trafficking and sex slavery, partnering with organisations such as UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs & Crime) and CAST (Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking).
