BBC Radio 1 DJ Danny Howard on KC Lights’ Sundown
I’ve been supporting KC Lights and his early releases for a couple of years now, but I feel that this is by far his strongest.
He’s built up a name for himself as a solid remixer for some of the biggest artists and labels in the industry, as well as a steady flow of original material, but 2017 is definitely the year he steps up.
He’s also in great hands after recently teaming up with MDM Artists and Marci Weber, who is responsible for looking after MK as well as famously managing Moby during his seminal years.
I’ve been road-testing this record since last summer and, in most cases, I used it as my set ender due to its epic sounding nature. I love the energy and emotion that it carries, married with beautiful melodies and uplifting vocals…
It has all the elements you need as a DJ to really get a crowd going which for me is perfect!
On the radio, it sounds incredible as not all ‘club’ tracks translate well on air, but this one walks the line perfectly as a red-hot DJ tool or feel-good radio moment.
I’m incredibly proud to be releasing this one on my label Nothing Else Matters Records and I’m particularly excited to build it right up to the summer months where I think it’s going to fly!
Get on this and get ready for more later this year as he has plenty more in the bag!
