WHO: It’s an ‘identity shrouded in mystery’ story. Honeymoan don’t do photos, are yet to reveal their names, and used an emoji to cover one of their faces in a recent studio shot.
WHAT: Pop done up like rock‘n’roll. Their music twins mega melodies with blurry shoegaze, and funky riffs with clipped percussion.
WHERE: Most of the band live in Cape Town, where some members play in local bands Retro Dizzy, Yndian Mynah, Wildernessking, Dangerfields and Sakawa Boys. Honeymoan’s singer is based in Amsterdam.

Yes, but focus on the music. The A-side of their debut single is called </3, but don’t let the title put you off – it’s a rush of heavy guitars. B-side We is cleaner, an indication of the band’s pop leanings. Both made Spotify playlists.
