International Charts Analysis: Katy Perry makes strong global start

Katy Perry's first album since 2013, Witness dropped earlier today (Friday June 9) and immediately scuttled to the top of iTunes rankings in 33 countries. It will clearly be the top newcomer when official chart listings for the prior seven days start to filter through next Friday, when new albums from London Grammar, Lady Antebellum and Fleetwood Mac pair Lindsey Buckingham & Christine McVie, among others, should also make significant inroads.
