BitTorrent claims 124m legal music downloads in H1 2012
BitTorrent delivered over 124 million legal music downloads via its artist promotion programmes in the first half of 2012.
The figure (123,191,863) comes from the company itself after Musicmetric published its first Digital Music Index last week – an in-depth report on global piracy trends.
The study logged a total of 405 million music release downloads via BitTorrent in the first six months of this year.
