Ministry of Sound - Creative Synchronisation Manager

Ministry of Sound Publishing are looking for a Creative Synchronisation Manager to handle all areas of sync licensing for their Publishing catalogue. This role will suit a proactive individual with a solid network across the industry and proven negotiation and deal making skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Keeping up to date with new A&R signings (across recordings and publishing) as well as being well acquainted with our back catalogue
- Regularly researching new sync contacts & networking as much as possible to build networks
- Staying up to date with what’s happening & who’s who in advertising, films, TV and Games
- Developing & improving existing relationships with agencies, music supervisors, production companies etc by way of regular contact
- Making sure that our new tracks are sent out to sync contacts on a regular basis
- Keeping the extranet sync site up to date and as user-friendly & as effective as possible
- Making sure we’re on everyone’s distribution lists for briefs
- Pitching tracks to briefs promptly with relevant tracks so that we’re a trusted label to source from
- Offering bespoke track opportunities too where appropriate/possible
- Handling & processing all sync requests/queries (for both master rights and publishing), getting internal and artist management approvals where necessary
- Negotiating fees & maximising sync revenue without losing the deal
- Liaising with the relevant publishers/record labels (as appropriate) to make sure there are no hold-ups on the other side
- Liaising with our global sub publishers’ synch teams
Essential Criteria:
- Significant experience of sync licensing
- Exceptional knowledge of the sync industry with well-established contacts
- Proven ability to work effectively on a high volume of deals within tight timescales
- Demonstrable achievements in negotiation and end-to-end closing of deals
- Full comprehension of copyright in publishing and master recordings
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent team player with the ability to work autonomously
- Excellent relationship building skills, with both internal and external stakeholders
