Job Title: Digital Marketing Manager
Location: London
Working Hours: Standard 35 hours per week
Normally working Mon – Fri 10am – 6pm with additional hours as required
Overall Purpose: Develop and manage the digital campaign strategy for the record label and its diverse roster. Responsible for the creation of fresh and engaging digital campaigns and helping to grow the company's roster of emerging talent.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

Marketing

  • Conceive industry leading digital marketing initiatives and social media strategies, using past experience and expertise to formulate original and ground-breaking ideas
  • Create digitally led marketing plans for artist campaigns
  • Implement new strategies to build audiences and increase social reach, as well as developed analytics informed content initiatives.
  • Set up and manage digital advertising campaigns whilst ensuring spends are effectively maximised to achieve campaign goals, understanding the commercial potential of each activity
  • Deliver clear value to artists through managing the strategy across all of their digital properties
  • Ensure social CRM is at the heart of all artist campaigns year-round, even when out of the release cycle
  • Assist with and consult on artists’ streaming strategy
  • Originate assets as required for social media and advertising campaigns
  • Run digital health checks at the outset of campaigns, providing advice on how to optimise artists’ online channels and profiles
  • Oversee the briefing, build and maintenance of all artist digital platforms (i.e. official sites, social networks, holding pages etc.)
  • Actively seek innovative solutions to compliment traditional marketing plans
  • Commission and project manage the development of creative digital tools and content
  • Drive digital best practices through the company
  • Lead and devise global strategy on company owned platforms

Relationships and Communication

  • Work closely with internal label team and out-of-house partners, attending weekly label team meetings
  • Manage and develop strategic partnerships with 3rd parties for company roster and content including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Shazam, Snapchat, Tumblr, Vevo, Youtube, Soundcloud, Google, Spotify, Apple, etc. and new platforms as they arise
  • Integrate new digital deals and partnerships in to everyday marketing and promotional planning
  • Provide regular updates to internal label team and external managers, artists and partners on releases and campaigns
  • Work with artist related brands, touring, and all related third parties to maximise digital strategy for each campaign

Reporting

  • Report on all campaign activities in internal meetings and to key partners when required
  • Where required, compile and analyse reports, using data from streaming analytics platforms alongside 3rd party platforms and dashboards, and present back to the artist and label management/marketing teams

Person Specification

Previous Experience and Knowledge

  • 2+ years’ experience of working in digital marketing in the music industry, working closely with artists and managers
  • Proven track-record in building social numbers and followers
  • An extensive understanding of the latest innovations and consumer trends in the streaming/digital media market

Behavioural Skills

  • Strong relationships with key platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Google, Spotify, Snapchat, Vevo etc.
  • Organised self-starter
  • Fresh ideas on how to positively engage and drive roster with consumers
  • Able to interpret consumer data and research new opportunities and approaches
  • Able to hit the ground running and work at a fast pace
  • Creative and enthusiastic
  • Able to think strategically but also take a hands-on approach with all campaigns

  • Committed to excellence in digital marketing
  • Ability to travel and attend gigs in London on a regular basis

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of social media best practice
  • Basic HTML coding skills
  • Photoshop and video editing skills a plus
  • Experience in managing and building eCRM databases
