Harvey Goldsmith unveils OnRoundhay Festival

Promoter Harvey Goldsmith has announced details of the OnRoundhay Festival in Leeds, a new sister festival to London's On Blackheath.

The new family, music and food festival, which will be staged in partnership with John Lewis, takes place on Saturday, September 17, with acts to include James, Primal Scream, Wolf Alice, Max Jury and The Haggis Horns. Tickets cost £45, while family tickets - for two adults and two children aged 13-16, are available for £100. Under 12s go free.

The event will see live music return to Roundhay Park for the first time in 10 years. The open air venue has previously hosted concerts by the likes of Michael Jackson, U2 and Madonna.

“I am really pleased to be back presenting a show in Roundhay Park," said Goldsmith (pictured). "Three years ago we created with John Lewis a brand new style of festival called OnBlackheath. This was universally received by artists, performers and the public. We are delighted to be able to extend this brand by producing the first OnRoundhay Festival with John Lewis as our partner.

"The event will follow the same format as OnBlackheath, with fantastic music, great curated food and lots of activities for kids of all ages. I would like to thank Leeds City Council for their help in making OnRoundhay happen.”
