Liam Gallagher announces biggest headline solo show to date

Liam Gallagher has announced a huge homecoming show at Emirates Lancashire Cricket Club in Manchester next summer.

The 50,000-capacity one day event, which will include a full supporting line-up, will take place on Saturday, August 18. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday, November 24. He previously played the open-air venue for the One Love Manchester benefit concert earlier this year.

Gallagher, who is represented by Coda agent Alex Hardee, has shifted 144,000 tickets for his upcoming sold out UK arena tour and Finsbury Park headline show. The former Oasis frontman will also play Malahide Castle in Dublin and Belsonic in Belfast next June.

His No.1 album, As You Were, released via Warner Bros last month, has sold 170,054 copies in the UK to date, according to the Official Charts Company. It is the fourth fastest-selling LP in the UK of 2017 and has also exceeded 50 million track streams on Spotify.

Gallagher is currently embarking upon his debut North American solo tour, almost all of which is sold-out in advance. He tours Australia in December before travelling to Indonesia, Brazil and Peru in early 2018. He will also headline Snowbombing festival in the Austrian Alps in April.
