Music industry averaging 12 new arena acts a year

The UK music industry is churning out an average of a dozen new arena headliners a year, according to a Music Week investigation.

The findings come from analysing the calendars of arenas in London, Manchester and Birmingham since 2007, a pivotal year for the industry as it marked the opening of The O2.
