Reading And Leeds reveal six headliners for 2021, festival upgrades to two main stages

Reading and Leeds Festivals have announced Stormzy, Liam Gallagher, Post Malone, Catfish And The Bottlemen, Disclosure and Queens of the Stone Age as the six headlining acts set to perform in 2021. 

The festival confirmed the acts will play without any clashes due to a second main stage being added to each site.

Also set to appear across the weekend are AJ Tracey, Ashnikko, Beebadobee, DaBaby, Doja Cat, Fever 333, Lewis Capaldi, Mabel, Madison Beer, Mk, Lyra, Sofi Tukker, Two Door Cinema Club and 100 Gecs, with more acts expected to be announced soon.

The three day festival – which was cancelled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic –takes place on August 27-29, 2021, returning to Reading’s Richfield Avenue and Leeds’ Bramham Park.

Of the previously announced 2020 headliners, both Liam Gallagher and Stormzy have carried over, with Rage Against The Machine withdrawing.

Speaking about his return, Liam Gallagher said: "Yes Brothers and Sisters, I come bearing good news...Yours Truly is headlining Reading & Leeds 2021. C'MON YOU KNOW. LG"

Melvin Benn, managing director of Festival Republic, added: “After an absence of a year we are delighted to announce the 2021 return to Reading’s Richfield Avenue and Leeds’ Bramham Park in 2021 with our most epic plan yet. Two main stages, six headliners, the best line up of acts 2021 will see and 200,000 fans are going to celebrate the best music in the best music festivals in Britain.”

Tickets will go on sale at 9am on Thursday September 3.
