The Charlatans set for hometown festival series

The Charlatans have confirmed details of their hometown festival series in Northwich this month.

The band will play four shows (May 14 and May16-18) at Northwich Memorial Court, alongside festival activity over 10 days including an exhibition, a week of live bands at the Salty Dog pub, film screenings and a podcast recording at the Northwich Odeon featuring Paddy Considine.

The festival will also include a Vinyl Adventures record fair with a book reading by Tim Burgess. The band’s own limited edition beer will be on sale.

“We're really excited about our four shows in Northwich,” said The Charlatans. “We rehearsed at The Memorial Court for our last tour and we all pretty much said at the same time that we had to play there. As with most Charlatans events, we thought of lots of stuff we could do around the gigs - so we called some friends, found a space for an exhibition, borrowed a 1930s cinema and the results ended up pretty mind-blowing.”
