The biggest and best night out in the music industry calendar returns to Battersea Evolution to reward the stellar achievements of the UK music business on Wednesday, May 6.
Proper Music will sponsor the award for Best Independent Retailer, supported by ERA, at the event, which sees Dundee's Assai Records, Kingston's Banquet Records, Drift in Totnes, Twickenham's Eel Pie Records, Liverpool's Jacaranda Records, Brighton's Resident Music, Barrow-In-Furness' TNT Records and Rough Trade, which has shops in London, Bristol and Nottingham, all nominated.
Proper Music MD Drew Hill, said: "We’re very pleased to be sponsoring the Music Week Awards again, this time championing the nation’s independent record stores. These stores are a hugely valuable part of our musical ecosystem, not only for artists but for the fans who can discover a lifelong passion amongst their racks and rows."
Last year’s record-breaking event was the biggest in Music Week's 60-year history, celebrating the achievements of companies and execs across the industry.
