PRS For Music is returning to sponsor the Publisher Of The Year and Independent Publisher Of The Year categories at the Music Week Awards.
With tables now sold out, the 2026 edition of the hugely popular ceremony takes place on May 7, 2026 at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London.
The Music Week Awards recognises the whole industry across labels, publishing, live, A&R, radio, marketing, PR and more.
The 2025 edition was another sell-out event and concluded with an appearance by Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner to honour manager and Wildlife Entertainment CEO Ian McAndrew with The Strat trophy.
Last year’s Publisher Of The Year trophy went to Sony Music Publishing, while Stellar Songs/Tim & Danny Music triumphed in the Independent Publisher Of The Year category.
These awards are about recognising the very best in our community

Sally Weir, chief membership officer at PRS for Music, said: “We are honoured to continue supporting creators through the Publisher Of The Year and Independent Publisher Of The Year awards. Music publishers contribute so much behind the scenes – from championing songwriters to protecting their work, they help both new and established talent to thrive in our music ecosystem. These awards are about recognising the very best in our community, so congratulations to all the nominees and winners.”
PRS for Music represents the rights of more than 180,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers. The organisation ensures that songwriters and composers are paid whenever their musical compositions and songs are streamed, downloaded, broadcast, performed and played in public.
For more than 110 years it has grown and protected the rights of the music creator community. PRS for Music paid out £1.02 billion in royalties in 2024 and collected a record £1.15 billion in revenues.
