Music Week Presents: Frequency Cowboy

We are excited to bring you Frequency Cowboy’s Move Closer EP, a brand new 3-track offering, expanding on his unique, distinctive sound.

The classically trained pianist has enjoyed previous commercial and critical success as a former member of Bristol’s Termites, working with John Parish (PJ Harvey, Eels, Tracy Chapman) and Bruno Ellingham (Massive Attack and New Order, Maccabees), touring with British Sea Power and recording at the acclaimed Rockfield Studios, before turning his attention to his solo project as Frequency Cowboy.

The artist's latest offering is out today via Dactyl Spondee Records and includes the EP title track, 'Move Closer', 'Only Human' and a remix of Frequency Cowboy’s previous single ‘Control’, produced by North London electronic artist Badoos, a well-honed version of the original that ultimately delivers the goods. Move Closer EP sees the exploration of Frequency Cowboy's pensive side, wrapped in his signature eclectic delivery. All-in-all, this EP is a collection of songs that find the sweet spot between quirky and fabulous. You can download the EP from iTunes here

Speaking of the EP, Frequency Cowboy comments: "Both the songs on the EP were written the year after my Dad died very suddenly. Move Closer is about wanting to try and connect with people but not knowing how. ‘Only Human, is me searching for answers that I know I'll never find."
