Milan-based Folk-rock trio The Ghibertins formed by Alessio Hofmann, Alessandro Fogazzi and Lorenzo Rivabella have announced their upcoming album ‘The Less I Know the Better’ - to be released later this year - from which they’ve just released the first single, ‘Breathe For Me’. The single comes a video, which we are able to bring you below.
New cut 'Breathe For Me' has a nagging sense of melancholy and the Andrea & René Olivo directed monochromatic video builds on this. Woven between scenes of a man and a woman running and shots of the band, the video leaves its denouement open to the audience’s interpretation
Hofmann says about the video: "There are moments in all our lives where we need somebody to help carry our load and effectively "breathe for me". In this video, we wanted to create a sense of angst . The shaky camera movements, the constant motion of the subjects and the low depth of field all contribute to create anxiety, while the lack of colour brings the attention to the subject's expression and, I believe, makes for a stronger connection”.
