AIM has inked a deal with the BBC and BBC Worldwide removing the need for the trade body’s label members to negotiate with the broadcaster on a case-by-case basis to license recordings of their artists’ live performances.
Under the new initiative, and subject to the appropriate consents, BBC Worldwide and labels will now be able to use BBC content for TV sales, streaming and downloads, sync licensing and physical audio and DVD releases under a single licensing structure.
