BBC Radio director Helen Boaden has warned the likes of Spotify are challenging her medium like never before, but it is "not a crisis".
Addressing the annual Radio Festival in Salford on Monday, she noted that it the last 10 years Rajar figures had revealed a steady fall of listeners among all age groups, but this was "most acute" among younger listeners. Here the decline had been almost a quarter in average listening hours for 15 to 24-year-olds.
