BRITs enjoy highest TV audience since 2005

According to figures from the broadcaster, the total programme pulled in 25% share of TV audience (including ITV +1) and a 24% share (excluding ITV+1).

The ITV show alone attracted 5.9 million viewers, whilst across both channels the audience peak was 7.4 million.

Meanwhile, every entry in the current iTunes album Top Ten is Brits-related.

Adele and Ed Sheeran were the big winners on the night, collecting two awards each.
