Cooper given new BBC music TV role

Mark Cooper has been appointed to the newly-created role of head of music television at the BBC.

The veteran executive's new position will put him in charge of a newly-combined department looking after both classical and popular music TV output and he begins with immediate effect. He was previously creative head of music entertainment.
