Google takes stand on piracy

The search engine revealed four anti-piracy initiatives that it will be implementing over the next few months in a blog posting from general counsel Kent Walker today.

They are
To act on reliable copyright takedown requests within 24 hours. Google will build tools to make it easier for rightsholders to submit DMCA takedown requests for Google products - starting with Blogger and Web Search - and will also reduce its average response time to these to under 24 hours.
