The site initially launched in beta in Australia last December and serves targeted ads at users based on their profile and usage trends.
Users choose which brands can target them and fund their downloads. This is a tactic the service believes gives advertisers stronger impact and makes the users feel they are more in control of the download experience.
Downloads are offered as 256kbps MP3 and the service has licensed content from Universal, EMI and IODA among others.
