Isle of Wight Festival organisers are set to spend £250,000 on roadworks for the 2013 event in an attempt to avoid a repeat of last year when attendees were stranded in their cars after torrential rain turned the area into a mud bath.
When asked what would happen to the festival’s fields this year if it rained, Isle Of Wight promoter John Giddings said via Twitter, “We are doubling the carparks and spending 250K on roadworks!!”
