Jody Gerson leaves Sony/ATV for top Universal Music Publishing job

Sony/ATV co-president Jody Gerson will leave the company at the end of the year to become CEO/Chairman of rival major Universal Music Publishing (UMPG).

Gerson will spend five more months at Sony/ATV before commencing her new role, officially starting at UMPG on January 1, 2015.  She will replace  Zach Horowitz at UMPG, who is to leave the firm after 30 years.
