New venue opens in Bradford

A disused city centre building in Bradford has been reborn as a 350-capacity live music venue.

The Underground opened last week with a performance from The Voice finalist Faheem. The building had previously been empty for more than seven years and has been fully refurbished, with a stage and state of the art sound system installed.

Director Nigel Booth told the Bradford Telegraph & Argus that some big name bands have already expressed an interest in playing at the new venue in West Yorkshire.

Upcoming shows at The Underground - a name inspired by the London Underground - include The Escapades & The Brazen and Alice And The Atoms, along with a regular Sunday night series called Lucifer’s Live Lounge.
