Newton Faulkner has pushed Elvis from the top of the albums chart this week, as the market improves for the second successive week, writes Alan Jones .

Although no individual title managed to sell more than 30,000 copies, album sales last week improved marginally for the second time in a row, edging up 1.9% to 1,998,253.
