Paul Williams: 'Songwriters deserve to be able to put food on the table'

ASCAP president Paul Williams was recognised with the PRS for Music Special International Award at last night's Ivor Novellos.

In his acceptance speech, Williams spoke about his fond memories of working in London, his 25-year sobriety and his intense passion for creators' rights, saying: "I will tell you this much: in a world of streaming it's absolute bullshit that you're paid so little for your streams."
