Shazam Entertainment has confirmed raising $20 million via a funding round from a consortium of private investors that values the tech company at half a billion dollars.
Reports first surfaced of the investment in February, but without confirmation from the company itself.
“With this new investment, Shazam’s valuation has increased significantly to approximately a half billion dollars from its last funding round in June 2013, reflecting the company’s recent business developments and ongoing growth,” said a spokesperson.
