Spotify’s Kevin Brown (pictured) has been appointed chairman of the Official Charts Company.

Brown, head of European label relations for Spotify, will take over the position next month (January 2016) from BMG UK SVP Korda Marshall, who is standing down after a three-year term.

Brown’s music industry experience includes roles in retail as sales and marketing director of independent distributor RTM, general manager of 4AD, marketing director of Arista and VP of International for EMI Music.
