US Register of Copyright backs performance rights

The US Register of Copyrights, Maria Pallante, has asked Congress to act on a wide range of copyright issues, including passing a law that would introduce performance rights for recordings and providing the Copyright Office with a new status to answer more efficiently to the challenges of the digital age.
