Music Week Sync Awards Deadline Extended

Sync Awards

The deadline for nominations for Music Week’s Sync Awards has been extended until 5.30pm BST on Friday September 2.

The cut off for nominations for our Sync Awards was due to kick in today (August 19) but, due to overwhelming demand for this year’s awards, it’s now been extended for two weeks.

That should give everyone plenty of time to nominate their own work and the work of others for the 20 awards.

There are Individual Sync Categories, which comprise: TV Show: Drama, TV Show: Sport, TV Ad, Film Soundtrack, Trailer (TV), Trailer (Film), Trailer (Video Game), International Breakout Project, Online/Viral Advert, Sync Artist Of The Year and Overall Sync Of The Year.

There are Sync Team Categories: Record Company, Independent Record Company, Publisher, Independent Publisher, Agency and Broadcaster Music Department.

And there are Music Supervisor Categories for Advertising, Film and TV.

The ceremony will be held on Thursday October 20 at London’s Bloomsbury Ballroom. Each award will be judged by specialist panels of sync experts from across the industry, according to commercial and creative criteria.

Entries are free and can be made through the event website: www.syncawards.com. Tables and tickets, which are already selling fast, can also be purchased from the site.

However, nominations for Music Week’s Women In Music Awards do close today, so any last-minute entries should be made asap at www.mw-womeninmusic.com.
