Warner/Chappell Music signs The Vamps

The Vamps have signed a global publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music.

The band, who enjoyed their first UK chart-topping album in 2017 with the Night Edition of their concept album Night & Day, are currently ahead in the race to return to No.1 with the Day Edition. The LP contains collaborations with the likes of Danny Avila and Maggie Lindemann.

Mike Smith, MD, Warner/Chappell Music UK, said: “I first met The Vamps when I signed them on the label side more than five years ago.  What marked them out from the start was that they were amazing songwriters as well as performers.  I can’t wait to get them working with the best songwriters in the world.  They’ve got a truly global perspective and it’s going to be an exciting ride.”

The band have generated more than two billion streams of their songs to date and set up their own record label, Steady Records, in partnership with Universal Music and EMI Records, in 2015 ahead of the release of their second album Wake Up.

The Vamps said: “We’ve always written songs for our albums and we also love collaborating with other songwriters.  Whenever we have down time on the road, we start writing.  It’s amazing to work with Mike Smith again and we can’t wait to team up with songwriters and artists working in every type of genre from hip-hop to Nashville. It’s an exciting new chapter for the band.”

The Vamps are set to undertake a promotional tour of the US in the coming weeks and have just announced a Four Corners UK & Ireland tour for next May.
