Warner/Chappell has announced it has signed a global publishing agreement with singer-songwriter Moss Kena.
Moss Kena first made a name for herself covering Kendrick Lamar’s These Walls, which was picked up by Radio 1, 1Extra and Beats 1, whilst racking up 7 million streams for her current catalogue of music.
SVP and co-head of A&R, US of Warner/Chappell Music, Katie Vinten said: “Moss Kena is an incredible talent who approaches songwriting with fresh an forward-thinking style. The world has only experienced a small taste of the powerful music Moss has to offer, and we are so excited to amplify what is already a rapidly growing career.”
Last week saw the release of Square One, premiering as the first track from her upcoming EP, Found You in 06. The track debuted on Beats 1 earning Zane Lowe’s World Record title.
Kena said: “It’s basically the time in my life when I really had my musical awakening and really got into it and discovered what I really liked through the rise of people like Amy Winehouse with the release of the Back to Black album. I really felt I had found music I connected with and just started discovering some classics and other artists and music that started to shape my musical identity.”
Moss Kena is signed to Ministry of Sound/Colt Club Records.
