Dermot Kennedy takes an early lead in the albums chart

The Official Charts Company Midweek Sales Flash is in, and Dermot Kennedy is the early front-runner in the albums race. 

The Irish singer/songwriter’s debut album Without Fear (11,357 sales) begins the week in front of The Beatles’ reissued Abbey Road (6,708 sales) and The Darkness’ new record Easter Is Cancelled (5,533 sales). Simple Minds’ Live In The City Of Angels (5,485 sales) is new in at No.4 and Ed Sheeran completes the Top 5 with No.6 Collaborations Project (4,383 sales).
