Merseyside music prize GIT Award has revealed its shortlist.
The award is now in its fifth year, having received support from Yoko Ono and been dubbed ‘the Scouse Mercury Prize’ in the past.
Nearly 300 artists were taking into consideration by judging panel of 16 industry figureheads, including founder of Heavenly Recordings Jeff Barrett, Vevo communications manager Dot Levine, and BBC 6 Music DJs Gideon Coe and John Hillcock.
