GRM Daily Rated Award winner Not3s praises platform's impact on UK music

East London rapper Not3s has told Music Week that grime, rap and culture platform GRM Daily has “a massive impact on UK music as a whole”.

Not3s scooped the Best Breakthrough trophy at the KA & GRM Daily Rated Awards earlier this week, and spoke to Music Week the morning after the ceremony.

“The fact they even put me up on their platform and helped me out with videos and whatever I need is a great thing,” he said. “Their support is strong, it’s coming from a real place. When you meet the man in charge and end up gaining a relationship with him, you realise everything comes from a real place. GRM has a massive impact for UK music as a whole.”

Not3s rose to prominence thanks to viral smash Addison Lee, which has racked up 241,585 sales, according to the Official Charts Company. The video has almost 8 million views on YouTube and more than 16m plays on Spotify.

He released it as a single with Relentless Records, who will put out his debut Take Not3s EP next month. Not3s has also recently completed his first UK tour.
