Adele's 21 smashes through 5 million US sales
The album, which is released by XL/Columbia in the US, sold another 187,000 copies last week, according to Nielsen SoundScan, to take its cumulative total to just beyond 5 million copies since it went on sale 42 weeks ago. Its sales last week were 30% up on the previous seven days, 21's highest weekly tally since it debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 352,000 sales at the beginning of March.
