BBC rules out TOTP return
Monday, Nov 17th 2008 at 11:04AMA report in The Times today says that the iconic programme "is expected to return to BBC television in the next year", quoting music industry sources.
However, the BBC says, "Despite continuing speculation, there are currently no plans to bring back a weekly Top of the Pops programme on BBC television."
The show was axed by the Corporation in 2006, although returned for Christmas specials in 2006 and 2007. Spin off show TOTP2 is set to return for a run ...
