The debt-laden major has sold the site for £3.5m and The Sunday Telegraph reports that the buyer is considering "a number of options" for the site, including opening a cinema.
The studios themselves have been closed since January 2009.
The news comes just one week after EMI said it does not intend to sell off its last studio asset - Abbey Road.
