The website, which receives1.3m visitors a month, operates as a "Youtube for music" where users can upload whatever they want with content only removed after receiving a takedown notice.

However, Grooveshark has yet to announce licensing deals with any of the four major labels, although it did sign a deal with classical label Naxos in 2007.
