Charts Analysis: Ava Max edges out Mariah Carey to score debut No.1 single

After three weeks at No.2, singer/songwriter Ava Max’s debut smash, Sweet But Psycho, finally ascends to the chart summit.

Already a No.1 hit in official charts in Austria, Denmark, the Belgian region of Flanders, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland, the track  - which only this week debuts at No.87 in 24-year-old Max’s US homeland - has increased consumption in each of the 19 weeks since it was released.
