Official Charts Analysis: Sheeran's X sells 33k copies to spend fifth week at No.1

ALBUMS
Becoming the first album to spend five consecutive weeks at number one since Adele's 21 in early 2011, Ed Sheeran's X sold a further 33,283 copies last week  - the lowest for a number one for 15 weeks - to raise its cumulative sales to 400,532.
 
X remains number two for the year but is tracking ever closer to Coldplay's Ghost Stories, which has been out twice as long and has sold 420,047 copies.
