CMT's Jen Danielson joins Pandora as head of country programming

Pandora have appointed Jen Danielson as its new head of country programming.

Despite country's migration to digital being slower than for some genres, the American streaming service currently boasts over 30 million unique listeners to country music per month.

Danielson, who is based in Nashville, joins from country music TV channel CMT where she was director of music strategy and will now oversee country programming across Pandora.

Radio giant SiriusXM has announced it is to acquire Pandora in a $3.5 billion (£2.7bn) deal.
