Deezer launches desktop app

Deezer has launched its new universal desktop app for Mac and Windows.

Premium+ account holders who download the new app before January 2018 will be able to hear all their music in high-definition audio. Users then have the option to sign up to the CD quality Deezer HiFi service into next year.

Available in Beta mode, the newly designed desktop app gives users access to 43 million tracks, as well as exclusive videos and ‘Flow’, the personal soundtrack that combines smart data and analytics.

Deezer users in France, Germany, UK, Brazil and Latin America can also enjoy localized content within the app.

Alexander Holland, ‎chief content and product officer, said: “Deezer’s desktop users will now have a new home to play their Flow, discover unknown artists and watch exclusive video content - all within a newly designed, one download app. Furthermore, we are excited to offer hifi audio to users who want to further enhance the quality of their overall listening experience.”
