I Am Pop's world

Messaging platform I Am Pop has secured a €2 million (£1.72m) investment to grow their operations and product. It will be used to integrate I Am Pop’s chat editor into other messaging apps.

Along with this investment, the company has hired Max ven den Ingh as head of growth. New and existing clients include Mad Decent, The Orchard, BMG, Ministry of Sound, Mama Festivals, Sony, Warner, AWAL and PIAS.

Tim Heineke, founder of I Am Pop, said: “With 2 billion users and 100 billion messages shared daily, messaging services are the most popular apps in the world, however, many artists don’t yet have a presence. Our goal is to provide a simple platform that anyone can use and this funding will enable us to continue developing it.”

Tidal x MQA

Tidal and MQA have announced that master quality tracks are now available via iPhone devices. It follows the launch of hi-res audio for Android users earlier this year.

Mike Jbara, MQA CEO, said: “From our ongoing work with engineers and artists, we know the importance creators place on delivering the original sound they created all the way to the music fan. Through our global partnership with Tidal, this becomes a reality wherever you’re enjoying your music.”

Beyond Freuds

Former Freuds directors Natasha Mensah-Benjamin and Ollie Thomas have left the PR giant to create their own agency. Beyond Talent Global focuses on talent, influencer strategies and procurement on behalf of brands, agencies and events.

Mensah-Benjamin, managing partner, said: “Our experience in the [talent and influencer] sector, in-depth research around selection and our relationships and insights are of most value to our clients. They allow us to leverage talents personal passions, and our buying power, to negotiate genuine partnerships based on authenticity and in turn a greater return for their investment.”

Roman’s empire

Roman Kemp, Vick Hope and Sonny Jay will host Capital’s first nationwide breakfast show next month. The show, which launches April 8, will feature local news and celebrity interviews when it launches next month.

Q primed for All Points East

Q Magazine has partnered with All Points East music festival to create bespoke commercial content. The campaign will run untilJune 2 and feature tailor-made branded coverage.

The magazine partnership kicks off with exclusive interviews with All Points East headliners Mumford & Sons and Bring Me The Horizon in the next issue of Q Magazine, out on March 12. During the festival audiences will also be able to see exclusive backstage interviews and artist Instagram takeovers.
