Universal Music partner with Ladbible for social media-led acoustic sessions

Universal Music On Demand (UMOD) have started a new sessions partnership with social media firm Ladbible.

The pair will initlally stage 12 “Ladbible Presents Acoustic Room” sets on each Friday from tonight (November 2), wth Mabel, The Manor, Lewis Capaldi and Ray Blk (pictured) slate to play across the run.

The sessions, which aim to “recapture Friday evenings as an appointment to view the most exciting emerging artists”, will be published each week to Ladbible’s social following, while audio tracks will be released for streaming and download on all major music services and will feature on UMOD’s Acoustic Room playlist, which has over 417,000 followers.

“This social-first approach has the potential to redefine how the entire music industry markets and promotes emerging artists,” said Ladbible Group’s co-founder Arian Kalantari, while UMOD’s MD Simon Barnabas hailed the partnership claming:

“This strategic partnership between UMOD and Ladbible is the perfect alignment of exciting audio-visual content being shared with a massive, highly engaged and well targeted audience. By joining forces with Ladbible, the phenomenal scale of their reach will not only benefit our playlist’s profile, but the individual artists will receive an almighty boost from this additional exposure.”
