Absolute Label Services rolls out biggest update yet for client portal

Absolute Label Services has today (May 30) revealed details of a major new update for its Absolute Project client portal.

Devised as a means to alert artists, managers and labels to key developments around their releases, Absolute Insider (AI) - Project’s brand new automated assistant - monitors developments in a campaign, and is capable of identifying significant changes and notifying the user in plain English.

Speaking about the update, Absolute Label Services director Simon Wills said: “This latest update makes the Absolute Project portal the most powerful and relevant data analysis tool available to independent artists, managers and labels in the music industry today. We want to ensure our clients have unrivalled access to everything at a free access point; that way we help each other make the best of a campaign.”

In addition to already providing real-time data from every major retail, chart and digital platform, to help users digest high levels of data, AI will send an email to a client’s inbox describing key developments as an easy to read news story – for example, if their track is playing on one of more than 250 UK radio stations, if it has jumped up the charts, had a spike in Spotify plays or has been added to a streaming playlist.

AI can also send recommendations, alerting clients when their warehouse stock is getting low or advising price reductions on an album at a certain point after release.

“We also understand that big data needs to be manageable data,” continued Wills. “We created Absolute Insider (AI) so that our partners are kept up to date with the most significant developments of their campaign through easy-to-digest news items and advice. Of course, they can always log on to the web portal if they want to drill down and view things in full detail.”
