Awards chief executive Geoff Taylor has told Music Week that National Album Day can become an annual event to “engage consumers with music”.

BBC Music has signed up as broadcast partner for the inaugural edition on Saturday, October 13, while artists including Paloma Faith will be supporting the initiative.
