James Moodie joins The Orchard as senior marketing manager

The Orchard has appointed James Moodie as senior marketing manager.

Moodie has more than seven years’ experience in the music industry, having previously worked at Vevo, where he was senior music and talent manager.

In his new role, Moodie will oversee the management of UK marketing across The Orchard’s roster, working with artists including The Cribs, Lower Than Atlantis and Lethal Bizzle.

Moodie replaces Ali Tant, who has joined Polydor as senior marketing manager.

Moodie said: “After four years working alongside The Orchard & Red Essential, joining the company to be senior marketing manager is a personal dream.

It’s a great time to be joining with both superb artists and releases coming up, coupled with The Orchard’s network and technology - I am raring to go.”

Ian Dutt and Mike Chadwick said: "We are delighted that James has joined us at The Orchard. Not only does he join with a wealth of experience, he also brings a refreshing perspective to the role from his time at Vevo. We are very lucky to have him".

The Orchard -  a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment - is a UK label and artist services firm for independents, following its amalgamation with Red Essential earlier this month.
